How did you learn about CrossFit Warehouse?
How has CrossFit Warehouse changed your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness?
It has made me in tune with what I eat & how it changes my
performance in a workout. My level of fitness is way better then when I started and my endurance has improved a lot since I started running. What has changed in my life is that I can now run a mile or more without crying. Lol!
List short/long term goals you would like to accomplish through CrossFit Warehouse:
For the short term I’d like to get my first toes to bar. Long term I’d just like to keep getting better then the day before.
What do you like most about CrossFit Warehouse?
The community. Even now during quarantine everyone is still helpful friendly. It still makes me happy that my morning peeps are the first people I see everyday. Also thankful for the coaches doing all they do to try & keep us involved and motivated.
How are you personally coping with this quarantine? I’ve been keeping myself in a ‘normal’ routine & have been logging on to the Zoom classes, all which helps the mind. We might be stuck in our homes now but it won’t be forever so the transition back will be that much easier. Just because the world changed where to go doesn’t mean I have to change where I’m going in mind, body & spirit. The last thing I, personally, want to have to do is to start at square one with my routine & fitness. Onward & Upward we go!
What advice would you give to those struggling to find the motivation to workout during the quarantine? Keep your routine. Log into a class. We are all in this together. If you’re worried about being on camera step out of frame or keep your camera off, but just log on. It helps to see and talk to everyone and to hear that you are not the only one struggling with this. It sucks not physically being around everyone and feeling their energy during the WODs but seeing and talking to them over Zoom helps more then you think it might.
What is your favorite CrossFit movement? Power Cleans
What is your least favorite CrossFit movement? Snatch
What movements would make up your Favorite WOD? Power Cleans, Situps & air squats or Goblet Squats
What does your nutrition look like during this quarantine?
I’m not going to lie the first month my nutrition went down the tubes. Then some of my family & I decided to have a weight loss challenge before we all turned into roly-polies. Lol. Now I’m back to eating right and not binging. I don’t follow any specific plan, just eating the right portion sizes. I also cut out the snacking and sweets.
What’s your new Favorite Netflix/HuLu movie:
I don’t have a favorite movie on Netflix but as far as Netflix shows I loved Schitt’s Creek. It’s a fun light-hearted comedy which is just what we need right now.
Favorite music artist/band?
I don’t really have a favorite. I enjoy a lot of different bands & genres.
Favorite song to work out to?
Depends on if I’m doing a WOD or running. For a WOD I like Tempo by Lizzo. For running I like Scandalous by JD McPherson.
Achievements you’d like to highlight within your life?
Louie & I have both been working from home & quarantined in this house for over a month and we haven’t choked each other out yet!
List a few things we don’t know about you:
I’ve driven a Nascar on the track at Chicagoland Motor Speedway. I was in the car by myself, scared out of my mind the whole time & wonder why am I doing this. Lol! We were all driving pretty fast. I was afraid I was going to crash one of the
other cars on the track. I also have been bungee & cliff jumping. The crazy thing about that is that I am deathly afraid of heights.
In 10 words or less, what does CF mean to you?
Feeling stronger and healthier everyday.
What advice would you give to someone looking to join Crossfit for the first time?
Try a class. If you like it, you like it & if you don’t you don’t. Either way you are not going to know the answer to that question unless you give it a shot in the first place.
