What is gymnastics for CrossFit and Why do it?

Gymnastics is foundational and produces impressive strength gains without requiring an external load.
Gymnastics focuses on the development of Coordination, Agility, Balance and Accuracy.  
In CrossFit, your training consists of Metabolic-Conditioning (Cardio), Gymnastics and Weightlifting.

What kind of movements are in gymnastics?

Push-Ups, Pull-Ups, Ring Dips, Toes to Bar, Pistol Squats, Handstands, Handstand Walking, Muscle-Ups
If gymnastics movements are performed properly, they have a dramatic effect on your fitness and performance! 

What are the classes like?

Each class will consist of an overview and breakdown of the day’s focus points. We’ll warmup as a group targeting the muscles, joints and ligaments in the body that will be worked. Then we’ll introduce and breakdown specific drills and work in small groups with 1:1 coaching throughout.

What will I walk away with after 8 weeks?

A fundamental understanding of how to approach gymnsastics. You’ll learn the what, why and how to strengthen, activate and engage every muscle needed to get your first pull-up, improve your ability to do push-ups, get better at toes 2 bars, and maybe walk on your hands for the first time!
