HOW DID YOU LEARN ABOUT CFW (CROSSFIT WAREHOUSE)?
(Heather) My husband, Donnie, was at CrossFit Warehouse for awhile and he told me he thought I would really like it.  I saw his amazing results and joined too! Now, I can’t imagine going back to a regular gym ever again!

(Donnie) I was wanting more out of my workouts.  I Googled “workout classes” and stumbled upon CrossFit Warehouse.  Not knowing what CrossFit was, I called and spoke to Veronica.  Within a few days, I completed my on ramp and started on my CrossFit journey.

HOW HAS CFW CHANGED YOUR LIFE, LIFESTYLE and LEVEL OF FITNESS? 
(Heather) CrossFit Warehouse has helped me gain confidence, energy, and strength.  I am able to fit into my clothes better, I have more energy to keep up with our kids and I have strength to do and help out with things I normally wouldn’t be able to.

(Donnie) CrossFit has taught me that you can push beyond what you “think” you are capable of.  Workouts are tough, and so is life sometimes.  Dig deep and finish what you started.  Small daily progress compounds, consistency is key.

LIST SHORT/LONG TERM GOALS YOU WOULD LIKE TO ACCOMPLISH
(Heather) Short Term Goals: continue to PR and work on the movements I’m not great at yet.
Long Term Goals: stay consistent and not lose my commitment to going to CF as much as possible, no matter my age!

(Donnie) This is why I love CrossFit so much. There is always a new goal to work towards or a movement you can improve on.  I am focused on building my strength and endurance.  My double unders are getting better, slowly but surely and I am still working on that first muscle up.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT CFW? 
(Heather) I like that I don’t have to think or prepare about what workout I will do, I just show up and the WODs are all written out and the coaches do a great job explaining them! I also love the coaches and people! They all are so supportive!

(Donnie) The community and the coaches.  The community is fantastic, all different levels of fitness and everyone supports each other’s wins.  The coaches always keep classes fun and will hold you accountable to consistency, and progress in your individual goals and gains.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CROSSFIT MOVEMENT? 
(Heather) Power Cleans; I feel strong when doing them and the movement just feels good.

(Donnie) Power Cleans

WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE MOVEMENT?
(Heather) Overhead Squats; the form doesn’t feel comfortable yet so I keep the weight load light. 

(Donnie) That’s easy, Thrusters!  Ugh.

WHAT MOVEMENTS WOULD MAKE UP YOUR FAVORITE WOD? 
(Heather) Pullups, Power Cleans, Rope Climbs and Row! I enjoy these movements best!

(Donnie) Running, pullups, and power cleans.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY DOING TO IMPROVE YOUR NUTRITION?
(Heather) I have increased my protein intake, taking better vitamins and conscious of what I eat. I do healthy meal deliveries and have tried a few. My favorite is Rachel Ray’s Home Chef because our girls love most of the recipes best. 

(Donnie) Eating real food, staying away from sugar, and eating more protein.

(Heather) Depends on my mood. From Chevelle to Pitbull and Slayer, Slipknot to O.A.R.! No country, please. I grew up listening to mostly heavy metal and now I listen to everything including our daughters’ favorite, Taylor Swift!

ACHIEVEMENT YOU’D LIKE TO HIGHLIGHT WITHIN YOUR LIFE 
(Heather) I achieved many awards as a young athlete, ran two half marathons, and happy to teach our daughters how much fun sports and fitness can be!  

In the last few years, we both (Donnie and I) achieved our Real Estate license and started an LLC. Donnie and I have been working hard to build a business for our daughters. We’re currently working on deals and rebuilding our website.

I’ve also achieved strength at CF Warehouse! I’ve been a member for almost 2 years now and excited where I’ll be in another 2 years!

(Donnie) I try to be 1% better than I was yesterday in all aspects of my life.  I am far from perfect, but I strive to be a better husband to my wife and father to my two girls.  To continue to grow our business into something to pass onto our children.  The best is yet to come.

LIST A FEW THINGS WE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU 
(Heather) A lot of people question my race/ethnicity. I am Native American and enrolled in the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin. My parents moved and built their retirement house on Legend Lake, which is on the Menominee Reservation.  When we say, “we’re going to Wisconsin”, that’s where we are!

(Donnie) I have worked in law enforcement for 10+ years but I also run a real estate investing business buying, selling, and flipping property.  Completely unrelated- I have in two separate incidents talked individuals out of jumping off an overpass and taking their lives.

IN 10 WORDS OR LESS, WHAT DOES CF MEAN TO YOU?
(Heather) Committing yourself, building strength, realizing the sky is the limit!

(Donnie) Pushing past what you think is possible in the gym & life.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE LOOKING TO JOIN CROSSFIT FOR THE FIRST TIME? 
(Heather) Just show up and you’ll get results!

(Donnie) It can be intimidating being on the outside looking in, but remember, everyone had their 1st day too.  Don’t compare yourself to others, instead focus on being better than you were yesterday.  Go when you are sore, go when you don’t feel like going.  The results will follow, you get what you give.
