Age: 35

Occupation: Chief Engineer (Local 399)

How did you learn about CrossFit Warehouse? I researched Crossfit places near me after moving from the city. This was back at the original gym and it blew away the place i was going to as far as attention to form and detail. That still holds up.

How has CrossFit Warehouse changed your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness? Crossfit pushes me mentally and physically early in the morning and makes the rest of the day seem easy and that anything can be done! Playing with my kids, running with my dog, and going through the work day require a lot of energy. Crossfit gives me the energy to take on anything the day gives me.

List short/long term goals you would like to accomplish through CrossFit Warehouse: Short Term Goals for me right now are being able to do a handstand and HSPU. Long term goals are to get better at my flexibility with overhead sqauts. I would also like to get pistols down consistantly. I would also like to try a half marathon.

What do you like most about CrossFit Warehouse? This is an easy one. The Coaches and Community. Ive been to a few other CF boxes and the support at CFW is second to none. The attention to form is really what sets it apart from other places.

What is your favorite CrossFit movement? Rowing and Rope Climbs

What is your least favorite CrossFit movement? Burpees… especially with the song Roxanne

What movements would make up your Favorite WOD? Rowing, Wall Balls, Pull ups, Cleans

What are you currently doing to try to improve your diet? Everything, I joined the CFW Nutrition program a while ago and started paying attention to what I eat and drink throughout the day. Before and after workout routine is what I am currently focusing on.

Favorite movie: Happy Gilmore

Favorite music artist/band: Luke Combs (Currently)

Favorite song to work out to: Any Metallica Song

Achievements you’d like to highlight within your life:  Having two amazing kids that push me to be better for them everyday. Growing up I had never ran a sub 8 minute mile. I just beat that this year.

List a few things we don’t know about you: I grew up as a competitive swimmer and golfer. One of the orginal reasons I decided to start CF was to get better at golf by being in better shape.. (still working on the golf part!)

In 10 words or less, what does CF mean to you? It’s addictive, fun, and the best community.

What advice would you give to someone looking to join Crossfit for the first time? Just walk in and try it out. It seems intimidating from the outside but the support from every person in there can be highly motivating.
