Occupation: Regional Marketing Manager
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle and level of fitness?
CrossFit came into my life when I was seeking positive change. I had always been keen on fitness, but found myself bored and unmotivated just weeks into a routine. CrossFit continues to develop my perseverance, resilience and consistency. Those positve aspects carry into other areas of my life as well.
How did you learn about CrossFit Warehouse?
I had been entertaining the idea of joining CrossFit for almost a year. I finally googled gyms nearby and CFW had by far the best reviews!
What are you currently doing to improve your diet?
I do pretty well at maintaining a balanced diet. However, I need to be more mindful of my water intake.
List short/longterm goals that you would like to accomplish through CrossFit.
The Gymnastics specialty class brought out my intrigue and draw towards the Gymnastics movements.
Short term: string together pull-ups
Long term: handstand push-ups and handstand walks.
What do you like most about Crossfit Warehouse?
The community of like minded individuals. Anyone can go to any gym and get their workout “over with” for the day, but it’s the people that keep me coming back. Each day I look forward to CrossFit even if the WOD looks particularly intense because it’s the positive energy that has become an essential part of my day. The support of coaches and members have greatly contributed to my PR’s and milestones. I have also participated in some Spartan events this year…something I never thought I would do!

In 10 words of less, what does CF mean to you?
CrossFit isn’t something I do, but a community I’m grateful to be a part of.
What advice would you give to someone looking to join CrossFit for the first time?
Just go for it. Everyone appreciates CrossFit in their own way. I went in wanting to get stronger, but I was also intentional about being a part of a community. I would encourage people to extend their reach beyond the WODS. Try a speciality class, run club, races and other events the gym participates in…you may be surprised where you may discover a new found interest!
