How did you learn about CrossFit Warehouse? I attended a Hero WOD with my sister Joanna.
How has CrossFit Warehouse changed your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness? Prior to joining CrossFit Warehouse fitness was not a priority but now surrounding myself with like-minded people, fitness has become a top priority in my life. Focusing on building muscle and improving my speed has not only improved my physical strength but my running pace has drastically improved as well.
List short/long term goals you would like to accomplish through CrossFit Warehouse: My next short term goal is to complete a 50 mile run and my long term goals are to complete a 100-mile run and a half iron man.
What do you like most about CrossFit Warehouse? Ienjoy the workout structures, the variety of different muscle groups that are targeted in each workout and the intensity of the workouts has allowed me to focus on other areas of my life instead of planning my workouts daily. Along with that, the community is another reason why I keep coming back. Through the themed workouts such as Mano Y Mano, I have been able to meet and get to know some great people.
What is your favorite CrossFit movement? Back Squats….and running and deadlifts, basically anything that targets the legs.
What is your least favorite CrossFit movement? Overhead Squat
What movements would make up your Favorite WOD? The Hero WOD Manion doing a 400 meter run and 29 back squats for 7 rounds is the perfect WOD.
What are you currently doing to try to improve your diet? Focusing on a high protein diet and limiting fast food when I can.
Favorite movie: Rocky IV
Favorite music artist/band: I listen to almost anything from DMX to Ludwig Van Beethoven.
Favorite song to work out to: Don’t have a favorite song, preference would be silence with my thoughts.
Achievements you’d like to highlight within your life: Completed a marathon and an ultra (33 miles).
List a few things we don’t know about you: In my free time I like to read and golf.
In 10 words or less, what does CF mean to you? Quote encompasses my CF philosophy, “Who is gonna carry the boats and the logs?” – David Goggins.
What advice would you give to someone looking to join Crossfit for the first time? Just join, its going to be hard, you will be sore and you will not see results immediately but if you continue to be consistent you will see results in due time.
